More of Our Favourite Days Out in North Wales
Posted on February 11 2022
That time of the year is approaching again - half term! If you're like us and struggle to think of things to do with your kids to keep them entertained while they're off school, then why not try and get out and about and visit some of our favourite spots in North Wales? Whether you're here as a holidaymaker, or you're a local, there's always plenty of lovely places to visit and exciting things to do! We've shared some of our top days out in a blog post before, so we thought we'd update the list with a few more of our favourites. Let us know what you think of our choices in the comments!
Llanberis
Llanberis is a North Wales gem and is home to a lake (Llyn Padarn), a railway with a train that goes around the lake, Electric Mountain power station, Llanberis Slate Mines (free entry) and lots of beautiful walks and scenery. It's a great place to take the kids as there's always plenty to do!
Keep your little ones warm and dry during walks with our Baby Bogs.
Penrhyn Castle, Bangor
This Natonal Trust property is a lovely day out for the whole family; the castle itself reopens during half term, or you can visit the grounds and gardens at any time. There's a fab wooden play area for little ones, and a railway museum for any train lovers! The gardens are a great place to have a wander and let your little ones burn off some energy.
Protect your little ones against the elements with our Kite Clothing raincoats.
Conwy
Conwy is a gorgeous little town with a huge amount of history; this World Heritage site features an incredible 13th century castle and walls, as well as a beautiful harbour and lots of fab independent shops and eateries. It's home to Plas Mawr, Aberconwy House and Conwy Suspension Bridge, so history fans will have a great time exploring!
Dress your little ones in our Frugi Snuggle Fleeces to keep them cosy.
Welsh Mountain Zoo, Colwyn Bay
A day at the zoo is always a good idea! We love Welsh Mountain Zoo, situated in Upper Colwyn Bay - whether you like tigers, meerkats, penguins or monkeys, there's something for everyone. There are usually daily presentations too, including sea lion feeding and the much-loved penguin march. The zoo playground is always a winner with kids!
Our Grass & Air Colour Changing Wellies are perfect for a day at the zoo!
The Great Orme, Llandudno
The Great Orme in Llandudno is home to some stunning scenery, as well as lots of fun things to do and see; cable cars, the Great Orme Tramway, Happy Valley Gardens, Llandudno ski slope, the Marine Drive, and of course lots of Llandudno's famous goats!
Our Blade & Rose sets are perfect comfy outfits for exploring in.
We hope you've loved our round-up of our favourite days out in North Wales! Did we miss any out that you think should be on here? Let us know in the comments!
